Supporting the wellbeing of you and your family

As a chiropractor I identify the areas of tension, misalignment and stress that have built up within the body as a consequence of living a modern life. I restore the balance of the spine by relieving stress on the nervous system through chiropractic adjustments. Chiropractic adjustments are specific low force, high speed movements applied to the spine. I am trained in a variety of different techniques so that I can tailor your care to you.

First visit – The Consultation

After booking your first visit you will be sent a health form for you to complete before your appointment. The health form helps to find out the reason for the visit and to find out about any previous medical history that may affect recovery. The form also asks about existing medical conditions, what has contributed to the current problem and what your hoped-for outcomes are from receiving care. During the first visit the health form will be reviewed to make sure all relevant information is gathered. An examination also makes up the main part of the first visit which involves a postural assessment, spinal range of motion, neurological and orthopaedic testing.

Second visit – The Report of Findings

The second visit is called the report of findings. After the first visit your health history and examination findings will have been reviewed and can then be presented and explained to you. The aim of the report of findings visit is to answer four questions that people typically have:

  1. Can you help me?
  2. What does the care involve?
  3. How long will the process take?
  4. How much will it cost?

As every case is unique, options for care plans will be presented depending on factors such as stress levels, age, level of daily activity, how long the problem has been there for and the results of the examination. I form a plan of care along with advice to assist in the recovery and maintenance of health. Reassessments at regular intervals will be scheduled to monitor the response to care and gain feedback.
